  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snow peas
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat
  • Salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS

  • Prep the Protein:

Slice the protein of your choice into thin strips or bite-sized pieces.

Season the protein with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Set aside.
  • Heat the Wok or Skillet:

Place a wok or large skillet over high heat and add the vegetable oil.

Once the oil is hot, add the minced garlic and grated ginger.

Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn them.

  • Cook the Protein:

Add the protein to the wok or skillet and cook until it is browned and cooked through.

Remove the cooked protein from the wok and set it aside.

  • Stir Fry the Vegetables:

In the same wok or skillet, add the sliced onion, bell pepper, broccoli florets, snow peas, and julienned carrot.

Stir-fry the vegetables for about 2-3 minutes until they are crisp-tender. You want to retain some crunch.

  • Combine the Protein and Vegetables:

Return the cooked protein to the wok or skillet and stir to combine with the vegetables.

  • Add the Sauce:

Pour the prepared sauce over the stir fry mixture.

Toss everything together to ensure the sauce coats all the ingredients evenly.

If you like it spicy, sprinkle some red pepper flakes over the stir fry.

  • Final Touches:

Continue stir-frying for an additional 1-2 minutes until everything is heated through.

Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.

Remove from heat.

  • Serve and Enjoy:

Transfer the stir fry to a serving dish or individual plates.

Serve it hot alongside steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
